Steven Hill has more than 20 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry, including retail management sales, distribution and customer relations. Hill started his career in the satellite industry with Pegasus Communications where he held a variety of roles within the organization.
At SBCA, Hill has spearheaded the Association's efforts in the areas of licensing, certification and risk and safety, including creation of Risk and Safety Resource Center, which provides members with key information to improve their workforce and manage their business.

Martin Esteves has been with the SBCA for over ten years. Esteves currently serves as a Program Manager at SBCA. As manager, he is responsible for fulfilling the Effective Competition & Tracking Reports, for managing and processing SBCA membership, and assisting on advocacy and public policy. He also helps to educate members about benefits provided by SBCA ensuring members are taking full advantage of the benefits offered.
Prior to joining the SBCA Esteves was a graduate of James Madison University where he received his B.A. in Marketing.
Abdul Salam, Sr. Director of Finance and Human Resources for SBCA, actively manages the daily operations within his respective department. Prior to joining SBCA, Salam was an accountant within the finance division of the American Society of Travel Agents. Salam has been working in non-profit finance administration for over 10 years and is a graduate of George Mason University.
Paulette Thomas is the Office Manager for the Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association. She has been with SBCA for over 8 years. Before moving to her current position, Paulette worked with SBCA's education and accounting departments.
As office manager, Thomas is responsible for the general administration of the office, scheduling interoffice programs/meeting and interfacing with many of the organizations vendors. She is also responsible for SBCA interoffice communications as well as, addressing any accounting issues.
Thomas received her B.S. in Business Administration from Almeda University in Boise, Ohio.
Shahzad Haider serves as the Sr. Director Information Systems for the SBCA. Haider brings in over a decade of experience in the field of IT and manages all aspects of IT related tasks at SBCA, which includes maintain websites, online training and certification programs, database and network management, user support and more. He also spearheads the development of new tools for SBCA in order to keep the association on top of new technology.
Haider has a bachelor degree in Computer Science. In addition, Haider has a variety of IT certifications including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) & Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
Megan has extensive experience working in the state legislative arena, doing research and monitoring legislative activities across the country, and in managing state and local government relations for two national trade associations. At the Council on State Taxation she gained considerable experience working on business-related tax issues at the state level. In addition, her experience balancing the needs and interests of trade association members will be of great help as she works with our various members (platforms, distributors and retailers) on a variety of state and local issues. Megan understands the relationship between advocacy, membership and communications.
