Dallas, Texas based, Blue Sky Satellite has been in business just over a year. The two-man operation run by Brandon Swenson and Stan Revels says that what sets them apart is their customer service. “Even though we may be selling the same product, we keep our customers informed and we’re easy to get in contact with—just one call does it all!” says Revels.
Aside from their excellent customer service, Swenson and Revels have implemented an interesting marketing campaign. “We’ll take yard signs and drive around the city and put them at every stop sign,” Swenson shares.
Though they add while it works great for generating Internet business, they find most of their satellite business does not come in that way. “When you have sign out that says DIRECTV, who are you going to call? DIRECTV. Not Blue Sky,” Revels says. They make sure their business name is the brand on the internet signs and that helps customers understand to call them. Swenson adds, “Most of our [satellite] business is generated from DIRECTV leads as we mostly deal with MDU properties, and then for Exede we bring in a lot with the yard signs.” They add that what makes them successful is “the quality of the work—it comes down to customer satisfaction; we do it right the first time or we don’t do it at all.”
