Satellite Fundamentals Re-Certification

Extend your SBCA Satellite Fundamentals Certification for another 24 months by taking an online recertification test.

You must have previously held a SBCA certification that has not been expired for more than 6 months to take the online re certification test.  If you are seeking SBCA certification for the first time, or your certification has been expired over 6 months you must take the first time certification test.

If you hold multiple certification levels, you need only recertify at the highest level certification as it supersedes the lower ones.  Example: If you have both Satellite Fundamentals and MDU certification expiring, you need only renew the MDU Certification.

There will be questions on the exam that are not included in the guide.  Technicians are expected to know the answers to these questions and have been adhering to them.

  • Review materials included
  • Self-paced study
  • Test is 50 questions and timed for 60 minutes
  • 3 total attempts allowed – no additional retakes will be provided
  • Test must be completed prior to 6 months past original certification expiration

If you have forgotten your certification number, it is not necessary to purchase the recertification test. SBCA staff verifies the information on all orders and will contact you if there is a problem with your order.
