SBCA strives to continuously enhance offerings in satellite dish system certification and training to improve customer experience and strengthen advocacy in licensing area. 


SBCA SMATV Certification

SBCA SMATV Certification holders are trained in the theory of satellite television systems and its applications to analog satellite master antenna television (SMATV) systems.


SBCA MDU Certification (Non-DTV Certification)

SBCA MDU Certification holders are trained in the theory of satellite television systems and its application to general-purpose multiple dwelling systems, such as apartment buildings.


DIRECTV D2 Advantage

DIRECTV D2 Advantage is DIRECTV’s system for multiple dwelling unit, lodging, institutional, and shared-antenna applications.


DIRECTV Residential Experience Plus (DRE Plus)

DRE Plus is designed for Lodging and Institutions properties wishing to have the advantages of DRE and a managed solution. Dealers who will be selling and installing DRE Plus will need D2 Advantage Edition 3 certification and must take the DRE online course through DIRECTV. To access the DRE course contact your DIRECTV L&I sales assistant or distributor.


GVF VSAT Installer Certification

A VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) is a two-way satellite ground station with a dish antenna that is smaller than 3 meters. 


DIRECTV HD Headend Technologies

The objective of this course is to educate students on the DIRECTV COM1000/2000 HD system designed for MDU applications.  The course covers the entire process of system equipment, design, installation, and troubleshooting.
